Who am i? Well, my name is Henk Lahaye , I live in the Netherlands and was born in 1944. The virus of recordcollecting got to me around 1970, I started buying records in the Netherlands, Germany, Great Britain, France etc. for a few years and then I took my first trip to the USA (after all Rock & Roll, Blues etc. was born right there). Fascinated over all these great records , the recordlabels and there history's I kept going back and back, I traveled the USA for more then 30 years from the east to the west and the north to the south, always looking for those fabolous goodies. Over the years I bought, sold and traded many records from many collectors and dealers in the USA, I met many nice people, had great stays at there houses and had too many good drinks and dinners with them (this goes for all these nice recordpeople in Europe too off course).
Now that I am retired I thought it would be fun to collectors worldwide to take a look at so many nice records and listen to them as well. I will always be a recordcollector but ............time marches on and there comes a time to say goodbye to most records, therefor I will price all records that I list (usually the same as what I paid for them) so you can buy the ones you like. I will try to list new records every week, all types and always some great rand rare ones. You will be given all the information that you need for all records so you can buy with full confidence. If I make a mistake here or there, if I forget to mention anything let me know (I do make mistakes). Suggestions are always welcome. If you like the website let me knew, if you dont like it dont tell anyone !
Hope to hear from a lot of you collectors out there !
Friends Don Keele (Canada), Mean Mountain Mike (USA) and myself having a drink (or two) after a hard days work in the early 1980's(browsing trough too many records).
Paul Sandford (UK), George Greco (USA) and myself at Georges Golden Oldies, 1979 in New Jersey, USA.
Vernon Edwards from Birmingham, alabama and (who else) at a jukebox distributor in New Orleans in 1988. There were 3.000.000 records neatly organized and yes, we bought a handful.
Vernon & myself around 1987 in Lake Charles, Louisiana visiting Eddie Shuler from Goldband Records.
In a Chicago basement in the winter of 1996 having a sandwich and some coleslaw in a two minute break from browsing through some more records.
Don Keele and me (1987) waiting for Gene to open up his bar in Milwaukee. Besides good drinks the place was loaded with great records. No better place to go to: Good drinks while looking at and buying great records.
George Greco (1980) in his store in New Jersey making fun with a large Buddy Holly display. Just heard that he passed away end 2009. Great guy who sold me so many records in the 1970 ‘s and 1980’s.Always great fun going on the road with him and looking for records in New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, etc.
Robert Loers and (yes, me) at one of the great record shows in Eindhoven, Netherlands. This picture is taken somewhere in the 1990’s.
